Usually this restless feeling come on legs, but in some conditions it also takes place in arms and also in the torso. Patient of RLS likes to creep, crawl, tingling, burning feeling, aching and even feeling like an electric shock. Mainly this urges come when you are at rest or even are going to sleep. Condition turns worse in the evening and at night, but in the morning you feel relief from the condition. Some of the causes of the problem are mentioned below:

Some of the researchers said that the main cause of this condition is that if there is a lack of iron in the brain. Our brain needs the iron for the preparation of a chemical, dopamine which is helpful for controlling the activities of the brain. Also, there are some of the conditions like kidney failure, pregnancy, iron deficiency, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis that can be result in RLS. As it is genetic disorder so there is a possibility that it travels from you to your children. Any nerve damage in the leg can also be the reason for the same. There are some medications that also can trigger RLS like some antidepressants, cold and allergy medicines and also medicines for heart diseases. An alcoholic person can also be the patient of RLS.

Who are at Risk? About 2% children and also 10%adults are facing this problem in the USA. Most of the patient who has a family history of the problem has the disease. Also, it is very common in the Northern European Descent. Both gender either men or women can be affected with the RLS. Mainly pregnant women are at higher risk of this problem and it occurs during the last 3 months of pregnancy period.

The main symptom is that the patient has a very strong urge to move his legs and have an unpleasant feeling in his legs. Moving of the legs provides relief to the problem. The symptoms become severe at the evening and night time when you are inactive or like to sleep.  The pain occurs in the lower leg. Usually it pains in both legs. Along airplane visit, also be the reason of the pain in legs.

There is no cure for Restless Legs Syndrome, but some of the things are here that can provide relief from the problem. Those who have milder cases of the RLS can change their lifestyle but for severe cases daily medication is required. By making some small changes in lifestyle can prove a wonderful treatment of the problem. As it is known that RLS can also be taking place if there is addiction of alcohol and also tobacco. So, for saving you from the problem, you can make a distance from these things to get relief. Also, you haven’t to take any of the medicine without prescription or doctor as it can also worsen the condition. Try to sleep in cool and dark place as it soothes your body.
